  • 8 chicken thighs bone in skin on
  • ½ cup of hoisin sauce
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • sliced green onions or chopped cilantro
  • sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Mix hoisin sauce, honey, fresh ginger, toasted sesame oil, and minced garlic in a medium bowl to make the sauce.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and mix well to cover them evenly with the sauce.
  3. For oven cooking, place chicken thighs on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 to 25 minutes.
  4. For air fryer, arrange chicken thighs in the air fryer basket and cook at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for 22 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 180 degrees.
  5. For slow cooker, put the chicken thighs in the slow cooker, cover, and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours.
  6. Garnish with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds before serving.
