Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lb Frozen chicken wings (flats and drumettes)
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp Sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
  • Wing sauce of your choice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Set your air fryer to preheat at 400 degrees F (204 degrees C).
  2. Place the frozen chicken wings in a single layer inside the basket, cooking in batches if necessary.
  3. Air fry the wings for 8 minutes until they are thawed and warmed through.
  4. Move the wings to a bowl and blot dry with paper towels, discarding any liquid left in the basket.
  5. Mix the olive oil, baking powder, salt, and pepper with the wings to coat them evenly.
  6. Return the coated wings to the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  7. Raise the temperature to 430 degrees F (221 degrees C), or keep at 400 degrees F (204 degrees C) if your air fryer maxes out there, and cook for 6 minutes.
  8. Flip the wings and continue air frying for 4 to 6 more minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Serve plain or toss the wings in your favorite wing sauce.

Notes

  • Keep leftovers refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 4 days
  • Reheat in the air fryer to restore crispiness
  • Freeze wings in a single layer first to avoid sticking and thaw before reheating for best results
