Ingredients

  • 1 egg fresh or cold or room temperature
  • 2 tbsp water per ramekin
  • cooking spray or oil to grease ramekin
  • salt & pepper to taste for serving
  • everything bagel seasoning optional
  • chili flakes optional
  • chopped parsley or chives optional garnish

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease a ramekin with oil spray or brush with oil.
  2. Add 1.5 to 2 tablespoons of water to the ramekin.
  3. Crack one egg into the ramekin Do not stir.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F 175°C for 3 minutes.
  5. Carefully place the ramekin into the air fryer basket.
  6. Air fry for 6 to 8 minutes depending on desired yolk doneness 6 min equals runny yolk 7 min equals slightly set yolk 8 min equals jammy yolk.
  7. Use tongs to carefully remove the hot ramekin.
  8. Gently scoop out the egg with a spoon Drain excess water and serve with salt pepper or optional toppings.

Notes

  • Store cooled eggs in the fridge in an airtight container with a damp paper towel for up to 3 days
  • Reheat in warm water for 30 to 60 seconds
  • Avoid microwaving to preserve texture
