Air Fryer Salmon Bites are a perfect easy dinner for a weeknight meal or family dinner. This salmon recipe offers crispy outside and tender inside, ideal for busy nights and fits perfectly in air fryer recipes.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½2 lb center cut salmon filets skin removed and cut into approx. 1 inch pieces
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce tamari for gluten free
  • 34 garlic cloves minced
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ¾ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ½ c mayonnaise
  • 3 Tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • ½1 Tbsp sriracha vary to desired spice level
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar

Instructions

  1. Cut the salmon into uniform pieces about 1 inch each and place in a medium bowl.
  2. Mix all marinade ingredients thoroughly in a small bowl.
  3. Coat the salmon with the marinade and refrigerate for no more than 30 minutes.
  4. Lay the salmon pieces in a single layer inside the air fryer basket, working in batches if needed.
  5. Set air fryer to 400°F and cook for 7 to 10 minutes; flipping or shaking halfway is optional.
  6. While cooking, stir together the bang bang sauce ingredients and adjust heat to taste.
  7. Once cooked, let the salmon rest for a few minutes before serving with a drizzle of bang bang sauce.

Notes

  • Store leftover salmon bites in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days
  • Keep bang bang sauce refrigerated for up to a week
  • Reheat bites in the air fryer for a couple of minutes
  • You can freeze the salmon bites after cooling by wrapping well and keeping in a freezer bag for up to 3 months
  • Ensure salmon pieces are similarly sized for even cooking
  • Avoid marinating longer than 30 minutes to prevent mushy texture from lemon juice
  • Air fryer times may vary, so stay close to avoid overcooking
