Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider buns Hawaiian rolls or other slider buns
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 9 slices American cheese
  • 2430 dill pickle slices
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame seeds
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped white onion
  • 2/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 350F and apply nonstick spray on a 9×13 baking dish or sheet pan.
  2. Combine all sauce ingredients in a small bowl, mix well and keep it aside.
  3. Cook ground beef, onions, salt, and pepper in a skillet over medium heat until beef is brown and onions are tender, then remove from heat and drain.
  4. Arrange bottom halves of slider buns in the baking dish and spread sauce over them thinly.
  5. Add cooked beef mixture onto the buns, then cover evenly with slices of American cheese.
  6. Place pickle slices over the cheese ensuring each slider receives some.
  7. Bake the sliders for 8-10 minutes, then take them out to add shredded lettuce and more sauce.
  8. Put the top buns on and brush melted butter on them, then sprinkle sesame seeds over the tops.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for another 10 minutes until cheese melts.
  10. Remove the sliders from the oven and serve warm.

Notes

  • If using different slider buns or dinner rolls, form small burger patties and bake them separately
  • Some prefer warm shredded lettuce, which can be added during baking with cheese and pickles
  • For cold lettuce and sauce lovers, warm top buns separately with butter and sesame seeds before assembly
  • Thousand island dressing can replace copycat big mac sauce if preferred
  • Mini cooked hamburger patties and grilled onions can be used instead of the ground beef mixture
