  • 5 Raw Bratwurst Links 19 oz or 540g
  • 1 tsp Olive Oil Spray
  • 5 Brioche Hoagie Rolls
  • 2 tbsp Stone Ground Mustard
  • 0.5 cup Sauerkraut drained
  • 0.5 cup Caramelized Onions

Instructions

  1. Warm up your air fryer by setting it to 400°F 200°C and running it for 3 minutes to prepare the basket.
  2. Take the bratwurst links out of their packaging and pat them dry with a paper towel to remove moisture.
  3. Spray the links lightly with olive oil spray to help them brown evenly.
  4. Arrange the sausages in a single layer inside the basket, making sure they do not touch to allow air circulation.
  5. Air fry the sausages for 8 minutes and listen for a steady sizzling sound.
  6. Using tongs, carefully flip each bratwurst to ensure even cooking on both sides.
  7. Continue cooking for an additional 7 minutes until the skins are golden brown and firm.
  8. Check one sausage’s internal temperature with a thermometer to confirm it reaches 160°F 71°C.
  9. Let the brats rest on a plate for 3 minutes to keep the juices inside.
  10. Spread mustard on the brioche rolls, add the cooked brats, and top with sauerkraut and caramelized onions before serving.
