  • 1 pound ground breakfast sausage cooked and drained
  • 10 large eggs scrambled
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough sheet or crescent rolls unrolled and pressed together
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley or green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook and drain the ground breakfast sausage in a skillet.
  3. Scramble the eggs until just set.
  4. Roll out the crescent roll dough sheet and cut into rectangles.
  5. Layer sausage, scrambled eggs, and 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese onto each rectangle.
  6. Roll up each rectangle to form rolls and place seam side down on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Meanwhile, prepare the cheese sauce by melting butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  9. Whisk in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  10. Slowly add milk, whisking continuously until thickened.
  11. Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
  12. Season cheese sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
  13. Drizzle cheese sauce over the baked rolls.
  14. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions before serving.
