A soft and cheesy biscuit bread perfect for any meal, featuring shredded cheddar cheese and a flavorful garlic-parsley topping that delights the taste buds.

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon white granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon table salt or can use sea salt
  • 2 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese I shred my own
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk can use whole milk or 2%
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together egg and milk.
  5. Pour wet ingredients into dry and mix until just combined.
  6. Melt 4 tablespoons butter and add to batter, stirring gently.
  7. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto a baking sheet.
  8. In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, onion powder, parsley flakes, and melted butter for topping.
  9. Brush topping mixture over each biscuit.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Remove from oven and serve warm.

Notes

  • For the best flavor, shred your own cheddar cheese and use fresh parsley flakes
  • Serve warm with butter for extra richness
