A hearty and delicious dish featuring smoky sausage, tender ranch-seasoned potatoes, and melted cheddar cheese, perfect for a comforting family meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound smoked sausage halal-certified no pork
  • 4 cups baby potatoes halved or quartered
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix make sure it’s halal-certified
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese or a mix of your favorite cheeses
  • 1/2 cup sour cream optional for serving
  • Fresh parsley chopped optional for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Slice the smoked sausage into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a large bowl, toss the baby potatoes with olive oil, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  • Spread the potatoes evenly on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Add the sliced sausage over the potatoes and continue baking for an additional 10 minutes until the potatoes are tender and sausage is heated.
  • Remove from oven and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  • Return to oven for 5 more minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve hot topped with sour cream and fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Use your favorite cheese blend for extra flavor
  • Substitute baby potatoes with red or Yukon gold potatoes if preferred
