A delicious and easy dinner featuring halal-certified smoked sausage and cheesy ranch potatoes, perfect for a comforting meal any night of the week.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound smoked sausage (halal-certified
  • no pork)
  • 4 cups baby potatoes
  • halved or quartered
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (make sure it’s halal-certified)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of your favorite cheeses)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (optional
  • for serving)
  • Fresh parsley
  • chopped (optional
  • for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Toss the baby potatoes with olive oil, ranch seasoning mix, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet and roast for about 20 minutes until tender and golden.
  4. While potatoes are roasting, slice the smoked sausage.
  5. Remove the potatoes from the oven, mix in the sliced sausage, then sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Return to the oven for 5–7 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve warm with optional sour cream and garnish with fresh parsley.
