Enjoy the fusion of Dubai Smash Burger Parathas Cheese with crispy paratha flatbread for an easy dinner. This weeknight dinner recipe delivers a family favorite combining flavorful patties, melted cheese, and flaky parathas for a unique burger experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon pickle relish or chopped gherkins
  • Pinch of smoked paprika or chili flakes

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook frozen laccha parathas without oil until warm.
  2. Add a little butter to each side of the parathas and cook until golden and flaky, then keep them warm wrapped in foil.
  3. In another pan, melt butter and oil over low heat and slowly cook sliced onions with a pinch of salt until they turn golden brown and soft, stirring now and then for 10 to 12 minutes.
  4. Divide minced meat into four portions and gently shape each into a loose ball. Sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic, and smoked paprika on each.
  5. Preheat a heavy skillet on high and add oil. Place a meatball on the skillet and press it flat using a spatula or burger press. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the edges turn crispy and brown. Flip once and place cheese on top to melt.
  6. Spread burger sauce on one paratha, add the cheesy smashed patty, top with caramelized onions and optional lettuce and tomato, drizzle more sauce, and cover with another paratha.
  7. Briefly place the assembled burger on a warm skillet to melt the cheese slightly. Cut in half and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Maintain skillet heat, avoid overcrowding to prevent steaming the patties
  • Always toast parathas before assembling
  • Drain onions well to avoid sogginess
  • Use a metal spatula for clean smashing and crispy edges
  • Let the burger rest 1 to 2 minutes before slicing
