Ingredients

  • all-purpose flour
  • baking powder
  • salt
  • ground cinnamon
  • unsalted butter
  • brown sugar
  • granulated sugar
  • large egg
  • vanilla extract
  • maple syrup
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  • In a separate bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and maple syrup until combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
