  • Ground Chicken 500 grams about 1 pound
  • Onion 1 medium finely chopped
  • Garlic 3 cloves minced
  • Fresh Parsley 1/4 cup finely chopped
  • Ground Cumin 1 teaspoon
  • Ground Coriander 1 teaspoon
  • Salt 1 teaspoon or to taste
  • Black Pepper 1/2 teaspoon or to taste
  • Plain Yogurt 1 cup
  • Lemon Juice 2 tablespoons
  • Olive Oil 2 tablespoons for grilling

Instructions

  1. Combine ground chicken, chopped onion, minced garlic, and parsley in a large bowl thoroughly.
  2. Stir in ground cumin, coriander, salt, and black pepper until all ingredients are evenly mixed.
  3. Moisten your hands and form the mixture into oval-shaped koftas.
  4. Heat the grill or grill pan to medium-high and brush it with olive oil.
  5. Cook the koftas on the grill for 5 to 7 minutes per side until they develop a golden crust and are fully cooked.
  6. Whisk together yogurt, lemon juice, and a little salt in a small bowl to create the garlic yogurt sauce.
  7. Plate the koftas alongside the sauce and serve with your preferred side dishes.

Notes

  • Let the kofta rest for a few minutes after grilling to enhance the flavor
