Creamy Pasta Salad

Description

A delicious and easy creamy pasta salad perfect for picnics and gatherings, combining tender pasta with a flavorful creamy dressing and fresh ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz small pasta noodles
  • 2 cup frozen peas thawed
  • 12 oz thick cut bacon cooked and chopped
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 TBS olive oil
  • 1 TBS apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar to taste
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder to taste
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente and drain.
  2. Cook bacon until crisp then chop into pieces.
  3. In a large bowl, mix mayonnaise olive oil apple cider vinegar sugar salt garlic powder onion powder and black pepper to make the dressing.
  4. Add cooked pasta peas bacon and parmesan cheese to the dressing and toss until evenly coated.
  5. Chill in refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  • For best flavor prepare the salad a few hours ahead to allow the dressing to meld with the ingredients
  • You can substitute bacon with turkey bacon for a lighter version
