This easy and delicious Garlic Parmesan Focaccia combines fragrant garlic, sharp Parmesan, and tender focaccia bread in a perfect savory treat. Ideal for snacking or serving alongside meals.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons instant yeast (1 packet)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 ¾ cups warm water (about 110°F)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic finely minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)
  • Additional olive oil for greasing
  • Flaky sea salt for sprinkling
  • Fresh parsley or herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour salt and yeast.
  2. Add olive oil and warm water and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place dough in an oiled bowl cover and let rise until doubled about 1 hour.
  5. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  6. Press the dough into a greased baking pan dimple the surface with your fingers.
  7. Mix olive oil minced garlic salt Parmesan and rosemary and spread evenly over the dough.
  8. Sprinkle flaky sea salt and optionally herbs on top.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Cool slightly slice and serve.

Notes

  • For best results use fresh Parmesan and serve focaccia warm
  • You can substitute fresh herbs with dried if needed
