  • 1 lb ground sausage mild or spicy your choice
  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 10 oz can Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies drained
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or green onions chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Brown the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until crumbly, then drain the fat.
  2. In a big bowl, whisk together cream cheese, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne if using, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Mix the cooked sausage, drained Rotel, cheddar cheese, and mozzarella into the creamy base.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F 175°C and spread the dip evenly in a greased 9×9 or 8×8 inch baking dish.
  5. Bake uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes until the dip is hot and bubbly.
  6. Top with fresh parsley or green onions and serve warm alongside crackers or toasted baguette slices.

Notes

  • For crisp tops, broil 2–3 minutes at the end
