This honey garlic shrimp recipe offers a quick, sweet, and savory dinner option that is perfect for busy weeknights. Juicy shrimp are coated in a delicious honey garlic sauce and ready in minutes.

Ingredients

  • 450g/1 lbs shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 34 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste or grated ginger
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp chilli flakes optional
  • 2 green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss shrimp with cornstarch and soy sauce.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and ginger and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Add shrimp and cook until pink and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Stir in honey and chili flakes and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  6. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra heat, increase the chili flakes or add fresh chopped chili
  • Serve with steamed rice or vegetables for a balanced meal
