Ingredients
Scale
1 (4–6 lb) bone-in or boneless turkey breast
3 tablespoons melted butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon dried sage (optional)
½ teaspoon lemon zest (optional)
4 cloves garlic minced
1 cup chicken or turkey broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
½ onion sliced
2 celery stalks chopped
1 carrot chopped
Instructions
Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels and carefully lift the skin to apply seasoning underneath if skin is on.
Combine melted butter, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, rosemary, sage, and lemon zest in a bowl.
Rub this butter mixture all over the turkey breast, including under the skin.
Place the sliced onion, chopped celery, chopped carrot, and extra garlic in the bottom of the crockpot.
Pour chicken broth and Worcestershire sauce over the vegetables.
Set the turkey breast on top of the vegetables, cover, and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours, depending on the size, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Optionally, broil the cooked turkey for 4 to 5 minutes to crisp the skin.
Allow the turkey to rest for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Add baby potatoes for a one-pot meal
Check internal temperature with a meat thermometer
