  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into slider-sized portions about 23 inches square
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional for a little heat
  • 1 lb thick-cut bacon cooked until crispy and crumbled or cut into slider-sized pieces
  • 12 slider buns
  • 4 oz brie cheese thinly sliced optional
  • Arugula or baby spinach for topping optional

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts into 2-3 inch square pieces.
  2. Whisk together olive oil smoked paprika garlic powder onion powder dried thyme salt and pepper in a medium bowl.
  3. Add chicken to the bowl and coat well with the spice mixture.
  4. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or overnight for maximum flavor.
  5. Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  6. Add chicken in a single layer and cook for 4-5 minutes per side or until cooked through and internal temperature reaches 165°F 74°C.
  7. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  8. Combine maple syrup apple cider vinegar Dijon mustard Worcestershire sauce and red pepper flakes if using in a small saucepan.
  9. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.
  10. Remove from heat.
  11. Cook bacon until crispy and drain excess grease then crumble or cut into slider-sized pieces.
  12. Lightly toast slider buns if desired.
  13. Spread a thin layer of maple bacon glaze on the bottom bun.
  14. Place a piece of cooked chicken on top of the glaze.
  15. Drizzle more maple bacon glaze over the chicken.
  16. Add brie cheese slice on top of the chicken if using.
  17. Sprinkle crumbled bacon over the cheese or chicken.
  18. Top with arugula or baby spinach.
  19. Place top bun on the slider.
  20. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  21. Serve immediately.
