Meatball Parmesan Skillet is an easy dinner that comes together quickly for busy weeknights. This one pan meal is cheesy, saucy and perfect for a family dinner. A simple recipe that everyone will love.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups marinara sauce ½ recipe of Marinara Sauce
  • 12 large meatballs 1 recipe of Turkey Meatballs
  • 1 ½ cups freshly shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup freshly shredded Parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • resh Italian parsley basil and/or oregano for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the meatballs and marinara sauce as directed.
  2. Warm the marinara sauce in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat and carefully nestle the meatballs into the sauce.
  3. Spoon some sauce over the meatballs and sprinkle freshly minced herbs if using.
  4. Evenly sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses on top, then season with salt and pepper.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 5 to 10 minutes until the cheese melts.
  6. Optionally, broil for 2 to 3 minutes to achieve a golden cheese crust.
  7. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve immediately.

Notes

  • This can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months
  • You can use jarred marinara sauce or homemade
  • Frozen meatballs will work or homemade as well
  • This can be made as a freezer meal see my tips above on how to do that
  • Instead of a skillet this can be made in a casserole dish 9 inch x 13 inch and baked
