  • 16 ounces macaroni noodles
  • 2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup half n half
  • 1 stick unsalted butter melted
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tsp seasoning salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
  • 24 ounces Colby Jack or Monterrey Jack cheese shredded
  • 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese shredded

Instructions

  1. Heat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Cook the macaroni noodles until just tender following package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  3. Toss the hot noodles with the melted butter in a large bowl.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream, half and half, sour cream, seasoning salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper, mixing thoroughly.
  5. Beat in the eggs along with 16 ounces of Monterrey Jack cheese, stirring until combined.
  6. Add the sharp cheddar cheese and blend everything evenly.
  7. Butter a baking dish or spray it with nonstick spray, then transfer the pasta mixture into it.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining 8 ounces of Monterrey Jack cheese evenly on top.
  9. Bake the dish for 35 to 40 minutes until it becomes bubbly and golden on the surface.
  10. Let the baked macaroni sit for 5 to 10 minutes before serving to allow it to set.

  • For crisp tops, broil 2–3 minutes at the end
