A quick and delicious one-pot garlic butter shrimp pasta perfect for a weeknight dinner. Creamy, flavorful, and easy to prepare with minimal cleanup required.

Ingredients

  • pasta: 1 pound of linguine or fettuccine pasta dried
  • shrimp: 1 pound of large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • butter: ½ cup unsalted butter
  • garlic: 6-8 cloves minced
  • chicken broth: 4 cups low-sodium
  • heavy cream: ½ cup
  • white wine: ½ cup dry white wine optional
  • lemon juice: 2 tablespoons fresh
  • red pepper flakes: ¼ teaspoon optional
  • fresh parsley: ¼ cup chopped
  • parmesan cheese: ½ cup grated plus extra
  • salt and black pepper: to taste
  • olive oil: 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, then remove and set aside.
  4. Pour chicken broth and white wine into the pot and bring to a simmer.
  5. Add pasta and cook until al dente, stirring occasionally.
  6. Stir in heavy cream, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, and parmesan cheese.
  7. Return shrimp to the pot and mix well.
  8. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
