Ingredients
Scale
8–10 pound (3.6-4.5kg) fully cooked ham
½ cup (100g) packed brown sugar light or dark
½ cup (120ml) honey
¼ cup (70g) Dijon mustard
¼ teaspoon ground clove
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
Place the fully cooked ham into a slow cooker that holds at least 6 quarts.
Mix the brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, ground clove, and ground cinnamon in a small bowl, then pour this glaze evenly over the ham.
Cover the slow cooker with its lid and cook the ham on low heat for 4 to 6 hours or on high heat for 2 to 4 hours until it reaches an internal temperature of 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
Take the ham out of the slow cooker and cover it loosely to rest.
Pour the cooking juices into a saucepan and heat until simmering.
Combine cornstarch with water to create a slurry and slowly whisk it into the simmering juices to thicken the glaze.
Brush this glaze over the sliced ham before serving to enhance the flavor.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container with the juices in the refrigerator for up to 5 days
Use an 8-10 pound ham for a 6 quart slow cooker
Trimming the ham may be necessary for the lid to fit
