1 large head cabbage chopped into bite-sized pieces
1 medium onion sliced thinly
2 cloves garlic minced
2 tablespoons olive oil for sautéing
1 teaspoon smoked paprika adds a smoky flavor
1 teaspoon salt enhances the overall taste
1/2 teaspoon black pepper for a hint of spice
1 cup vegetable broth provides moisture and depth
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar adds a tangy kick

Instructions
Remove the core and chop the cabbage into bite-sized pieces then rinse with cold water and set aside.
Warm olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat then cook the thinly sliced onion until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
Stir in the chopped cabbage, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper and cook for 5 minutes while stirring occasionally.
Mix in the vegetable broth, apple cider vinegar, sugar, and red pepper flakes if using. Stir everything to combine.
Lower the heat, cover the skillet, and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring occasionally until the cabbage is tender.
Take off the heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley just before serving.
