  • 5 slices bacon sliced
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 tbsp Lawry’s seasoning
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 8 garlic cloves chopped & divided
  • 1 lb ground chuck
  • 1 tbsp worcestershire
  • 14.5 oz can fire roasted diced tomatoes
  • 28 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 lb spaghetti
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp dried chives
  • ½ tsp cayenne
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 ½ cups heavy cream
  • ½ cup pecorino romano
  • 4 oz freshly shredded colby jack cheese
  • 4 oz freshly shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat up a pan and add in the sliced bacon and fry on medium to high heat until crispy then remove and set aside.
  2. Mop up half of the bacon grease then sauté chopped onions, Lawry’s seasoning, and black pepper until translucent.
  3. Add 6 chopped garlic cloves and cook for one more minute.
  4. Add ground chuck and cook until fully browned, removing excess oil as needed.
  5. Add worcestershire, fire roasted diced tomatoes, and tomato sauce then stir and bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat to simmer and cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
  7. Boil spaghetti in salted water until al dente and drain.
  8. In a separate pot, melt butter and sauté paprika, dried parsley, dried chives, cayenne, dried thyme, and crushed red pepper flakes for one minute.
  9. Pour in heavy cream, stir, bring to a boil, then add 2 chopped garlic cloves and reduce to simmer.
  10. Simmer for 5 minutes, add grated pecorino romano and simmer an additional 5 minutes until sauce thickens.
  11. Add cooked spaghetti and toss until evenly coated.
  12. Grease a large baking dish, pour in the alfredo pasta, smooth out, then pour meat sauce evenly over the top without mixing.
  13. Sprinkle shredded cheddar, shredded colby jack, and crispy bacon bits evenly over the meat sauce, garnish with dried chives.
  14. Bake at 375°F for 25 minutes.
  15. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For crisp tops, broil 2–3 minutes at the end
