A cozy and sweet vanilla cinnamon milk tea that is easy to prepare and perfect for a comforting beverage any time of day.

- 2 cups Water
- 2 cups Milk dairy or plant-based
- 4 Cinnamon sticks or 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 4 Vanilla beans split and scraped or 4 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 Star anises optional
- 4 tsp Loose-leaf black tea or 4 black tea bags optional
- Honey or other sweetener of choice sugar or a sugar substitute
- Bring water and cinnamon sticks to a boil.
- Add vanilla beans and star anise if using, simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add tea leaves or bags and steep for 3-5 minutes.
- Remove solids and stir in milk and sweetener.
- Heat gently until warm and serve.
Notes
- Adjust sweetness and milk type to your preference
- Star anise is optional but adds a wonderful aroma
