Hi, I’m Eleanor Royal, the heart behind AMGRoyal—a cozy corner of the internet where recipes meet stories, and tradition dances with creativity. Cooking has always been part of my soul. I was born in California and raised in a kitchen where aromas of love, laughter, and fresh herbs filled the air. My culinary journey started early, thanks to my mom, Julia, a talented chef who taught me not just how to cook, but how to feel food.
Our family spent a few memorable years overseas, and those experiences left a lasting imprint on my palate and my passion for global cuisine. Ever since, I’ve been chasing flavors and cultures, always eager to bring the world back to my table—and now, to yours.
Every Saturday, you’ll find me in the kitchen with my daughters, continuing the family tradition. It’s our little ritual: cooking, laughing, learning. These moments inspire many of the recipes I share here. From hearty, comforting classics to dishes sparked by our travels, AMGRoyal is more than a food blog—it’s a family diary written in flavors.
We’re also working on a special project: a mother-daughter recipe book, lovingly filled with our personal notes, tweaks, and stories. It’s a tribute to the generations of cooks before us, especially to my mom Julia, and a gift to those who believe that food connects us all.
Of course, I owe a nod of gratitude to the legendary Julia Child. Her fearless approach and the idea that “no one is born a great cook, one learns by doing,” still echoes in our kitchen. Her influence, paired with my mother’s handwritten recipes, has helped shape AMGRoyal into what it is today.
