Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers offer a creamy cheese filling wrapped in crispy bacon. This easy dinner recipe is perfect for weeknight dinners or family dinners and makes great crispy bacon appetizers with cream cheese jalapenos.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese room temp
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup green onions sliced green only
  • 8 large jalapenos halved and de-seeded
  • 8 pieces bacon cut in half

Instructions

  1. Rinse the jalapenos, slice them in half lengthwise removing stems and seeds, and remove the white pith to reduce heat if you prefer.
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together the cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, and green onions until blended.
  3. Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeno half.
  4. Wrap each stuffed jalapeno with a half slice of bacon, securing it with 1 or 2 toothpicks so it stays in place during cooking.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F and coat the basket with non-stick spray.
  6. Arrange the jalapeno poppers in the basket with space around each for airflow.
  7. Cook in the air fryer for 10 to 13 minutes until the bacon crisps and the cheese melts.
  8. Remove using tongs and let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Store any leftovers covered in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 days
  • Reheat using the air fryer or microwave
  • You can omit the bacon for a vegetarian version and reduce the cooking time to about 8 minutes
  • Wash hands thoroughly after handling jalapenos or wear gloves if sensitive
  • Always follow your air fryer manufacturer’s instructions
