  • 4 chicken thighs skin-on bone-in about 2 lbs
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup peri peri sauce

Instructions

  1. Dry the chicken thighs with paper towels and remove any extra skin.
  2. Combine smoked paprika, garlic powder, and salt in a small bowl and massage the mix onto the chicken evenly.
  3. Coat the chicken thighs with the peri peri sauce thoroughly.
  4. Warm the air fryer to 400 degrees F for 5 minutes while letting the chicken marinate.
  5. Lay the chicken skin side down in the air fryer basket and cook at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.
  6. Turn the chicken over and continue cooking for 10 to 15 minutes until it is fully cooked, checking with a meat thermometer.
  7. Take the chicken out and serve immediately.

Notes

  • I highly recommend using a meat thermometer to check doneness of chicken
  • Chicken thighs are best cooked to a temperature of at least 175 degrees F, but ideally 185 degrees F for the best texture
  • This recipe makes a spicy chicken, but it can be altered depending on how spicy your peri peri sauce is
