Ingredients
Scale
1 pound raw boneless skinless chicken breasts or tenderloins
2 tablespoons avocado oil
1/2 tablespoon white vinegar
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon fine sea salt
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
Instructions
Cut the chicken breasts into strips about 1 inch thick each using a sharp knife.
Combine chicken strips with avocado oil, white vinegar, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl. Toss lightly to coat everything evenly. Cover and chill for 30 minutes to 2 hours to tenderize the meat.
Lay the marinated chicken strips in the air fryer basket in a single layer without overlapping. Cook at 380F for 9 to 11 minutes, flipping them halfway through cooking. The chicken is cooked once golden edges appear and internal temperature hits 165F degrees.
Serve immediately on salads, wraps, grain bowls, or enjoy with your favorite sides. Refrigerate any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
Notes
Tenderloin cuts are traditional for tenders but you can use chicken breast strips as well
Feel free to substitute the Italian seasoning with your preferred spices like Cajun or ranch powder
