Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pounds chicken wings
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish optional

Instructions

  1. Heat the air fryer to 390 degrees and spray the basket with a nonstick coating.
  2. In a large bowl, drizzle olive oil over the chicken wings and toss to cover them evenly.
  3. Add minced garlic, salt, and pepper, then mix all together again.
  4. Arrange the wings in the air fryer basket spacing them to allow air flow.
  5. Cook the wings for 25 to 30 minutes, flipping them halfway through, adjusting time for thawed or frozen wings.
  6. Once cooked, toss wings with grated parmesan cheese before serving.
  7. Optionally, sprinkle with chopped parsley for a fresh garnish and enjoy.

Notes

  • Preheat the air fryer so the skin doesn’t stick to the basket
  • For even crispier skin, pat your wings dry and leave them uncovered overnight in the fridge
  • This helps to dry the skin out even more
  • You can toss the wings in garlic and olive oil and then add the cheese at the end like the recipe states or mix the cheese with the sauce and air fry the wings plain
  • Serve the sauce on the side for those who prefer plain wings or want to dip
  • Leave space between wings in the basket for even cooking
  • For richer sauce, add melted butter to olive oil and extra garlic powder
  • Add red pepper flakes or hot sauce for a kick
  • Start with 20 minutes if you want them more done and add extra time as needed
