- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 large eggs room temperature
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/2 cup milk whole or non-dairy
- 1/4 cup melted butter cooled
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, whisk eggs, maple syrup, milk, and melted butter.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared baking dish and bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While baking, prepare glaze by mixing powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
- Remove bars from oven, let cool slightly, then spread glaze evenly over the top.
- Let glaze set before cutting into bars and serving.
Notes
- For best results, use room temperature eggs and melted butter that is not hot
- Enjoy warm or cooled
