Description

A delicious and easy-to-make baked maple donut bars recipe that is guilt-free and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup milk whole or non-dairy
  • 1/4 cup melted butter cooled
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  • In another bowl, whisk eggs, maple syrup, milk, and melted butter.
  • Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Pour batter into prepared baking dish and bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • While baking, prepare glaze by mixing powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
  • Remove bars from oven, let cool slightly, then spread glaze evenly over the top.
  • Let glaze set before cutting into bars and serving.

Notes

  • For best results, use room temperature eggs and melted butter that is not hot
  • Enjoy warm or cooled
