  • 1 pound chicken breasts boneless skinless cut into bitesize pieces
  • 12 tablespoons olive oil to rub on the grill
  • 1/4 cup dill pickle juice
  • 3 tablespoons milk I used whole milk but other % may be used
  • 23 tsp brown sugar I used light brown sugar powdered sugar may also be used or use a sugar substitute
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher Salt
  • ½1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/21 teaspoon smoked paprika Or try chili powder

Instructions

  1. Combine pickle juice, milk, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika in a bowl or gallon ziplock baggie and mix well.
  2. Add chicken pieces to the marinade and toss until fully coated, then let marinate for at least 30 minutes or longer in the fridge.
  3. Heat your grill or grill pan to medium-high and ensure it is hot before cooking.
  4. Remove chicken from marinade, discard the marinade, and pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
  5. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking and then place chicken pieces on the grill.
  6. Grill the nuggets for about 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked through to 165° F and grill marks appear.
  7. Take the grilled nuggets off the heat and let rest for a couple of minutes before serving warm with your favorite sauce.
