Copycat Millers Ale House Chicken Zingers offer a bold and crispy fried chicken experience perfect for an easy dinner or a family meal. This zesty chicken recipe makes a delicious weeknight dinner with flavorful, juicy bites.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs chicken breast sliced into strips
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs (Japanese breadcrumbs I use whole wheat panko)
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper
  • olive oil
  • 2 cups Frank’s Hot Sauce
  • butter optional
  • 2 tsp minced garlic from jar

Instructions

  1. Season chicken strips with salt and pepper and lightly toss with olive oil to coat.
  2. Mix panko breadcrumbs with garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a large dish and press each chicken strip into the mixture until well coated.
  3. Arrange coated chicken strips on a baking rack set over a cookie sheet and spray them with olive oil spray to help create a crispy texture.
  4. Bake the chicken in a 400 degree oven for about 20 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.
  5. Warm hot sauce and minced garlic together in a small saucepan, adding butter to reduce heat if desired.
  6. Use tongs to gently toss the baked chicken strips in the hot sauce mixture and serve with celery, carrots, and blue cheese dressing.

Notes

  • We like our buffalo sauce hot but if you need to tame down the heat, add a few tablespoons of melted butter to the hot sauce
