- 1 cup unsalted butter room temperature
- 1 ½ cups light brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 ½ cups red white and blue M&Ms
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in vanilla extract and eggs one at a time.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
- Fold in the red white and blue M&Ms.
- Spread batter evenly into a greased baking pan.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool completely before slicing into bars.
